Detailed Specification, but the Quote Still Needed the Files

The cap was already described in unusual detail, but the written description still was not enough to price the exact version. The missing artwork and reference images mattered.

What had already been specified?

Two closure versions, a single-layer minimal interior, removal of seam-covering and binding tapes, and a reinforced front section above the visor.

What was already clear in the brief

Back closure 1Elastic closure based on a reference photo.
Back closure 2Genuine leather strap with buckle in a cognac-brown color.
InteriorRemove the second inner fabric layer and remove seam-covering/binding tapes.
FinishSimple, clean stitching with a single-layer, minimal interior.
Front structureThe section above the visor had to remain reinforced and structured.

Why we still asked for the files

We still needed the logo artwork, the specification material and the reference photos that had not arrived with the message. Without them, we could quote only an interpretation of the cap rather than the version the buyer actually intended.

A written brief can be very precise and still leave a factory guessing about a visual or construction detail. When that happens, asking for the missing file is safer than filling the gap with an assumption.
